Boker tortoise faux stockman made in soligen Germany with 4034 high carbon soligen stainless steel blades
From 2002-2008 I carried a Boker USA red smooth bone stockman until the fall 2008 when it fell out of my pocket and got lost. So I got on the boker website in the fall of 2008 and ordered a boker tortoise faux stockman 9885 made in soligen Germany with 4034 high carbon soligen stainless steel blades and I bought it for 75.00 back in 2008 and I carried it everyday all the time constantly till 2018 when I was in Tennessee and found another boker red smooth bone stockman with 4034 high carbon soligen stainless steel blades and then put the tortoise faux stockman back in the original box and started carring the boker red smooth bone stockman I’ve really had excellent luck with my boker knives and have never had any problems with them at all either I have carried them as a work knife and when camping constantly all the time I really like the boker brand and it’s actually what I carry constantly all the time everyday all year long. I have about eight Boker soligen Germany production model bokers and they are my absolute favorite to carry constantly all the time. I use antique sharpening stones that are actually over 100 years old to sharpen my Boker knives as well. I even have my grandpa old boker brown jigged bone handles stockman with carbon steel blades that’s a older Boker USA production model put up and I only carry it on special occasions because I don’t want to take a chance on losing it at all either. I either carry my boker red smooth bone stockman with 4034 high carbon soligen stainless steel blades made in soligen Germany or I will rotate to my boker green jigged bone handles trapper with C75 soligen carbon steel blades made in soligen Germany. I still get the boker tortoise faux stockman out from time to time and actually carry it. Now the boker tortoise faux stockman is no longer made in soligen Germany but now falls under the Boker traditional series model that’s made in China and only sent to Germany for the final fit and finish only. I have sharpened a Boker traditional series stockman that my neighbor carries and they are made from 440A high carbon steel blades and actually sharpen up pretty easily. Thinking about ordering my neighbor a boker tortoise faux stockman for Christmas this year and can’t wait to see what he will definitely think of it.
Boker tortoise faux stockman made in soligen Germany bought new in 2008
In 2008 I bought a brand new Boker tortoise faux stockman with 4034 high carbon soligen stainless steel blades made in soligen Germany because prior to that I had a Boker USA red smooth bone stockman with carbon steel blades and lost it due to a hole in a pair of shorts. So I wanted another Boker stockman and in fall 2008 I ordered the boker tortoise faux stockman with 4034 steel and made in soligen Germany and I actually still have it to this day I carried it from 2008-September 2018 when I was in Tennessee at smoky mountain Knifeworks and found another boker red smooth bone stockman with 4034 steel blades and then started carrying it and I still am I still get the Boker tortoise faux stockman out at different times and carry it. But no Matter what I’ve always got a boker stockman in my pocket everyday all the time constantly all year long. The boker knives get razor sharp and hold a edge really well and are actually pretty easy to sharpen also. I use antique sharpening stones that are over 100 years old to sharpen my boker and several of them stones are actually Germany made.
