Minimalist design, robust full-metal construction, and a proven stainless knife steel: the Boker BFF Packlite N690 combines the distinctive design language of US knifemaker Lucas Burnley with a functional configuration for EDC, outdoor use, and versatile cutting tasks. As a fixed-blade skeleton knife, neck knife, and hanging knife, this all-metal knife offers straightforward construction and flexible carry options.

The drop-point blade made from N690 with a Rockwell hardness of HRC 59 is designed to provide a balanced combination of edge retention, corrosion resistance, hardness, and toughness. N690 is a corrosion-resistant cobalt-alloyed knife steel from Böhler, particularly known for its good wear resistance, high corrosion resistance, and reliable cutting performance. Its alloying elements, including chromium, molybdenum, vanadium, and cobalt, support the formation of hard carbides and contribute to a durable cutting edge.

A key advantage of N690 is its balanced combination of edge retention and corrosion resistance. Its relatively high chromium content provides good resistance to moisture and environmental exposure, while vanadium and molybdenum support wear resistance and edge stability. Cobalt contributes to hardenability and a stable microstructure. At HRC 59, the blade offers a practical hardness that combines good edge retention with sufficient toughness for a wide range of cutting tasks. This makes N690 particularly appealing to users looking for a low-maintenance, corrosion-resistant, and capable all-around knife steel.

The open full-metal skeleton construction emphasizes the minimalist character of the BFF Packlite while allowing different grip positions. Jimping along the spine helps improve control during precise cutting tasks. The fitted Kydex sheath with ball chain allows flexible neck or hanging carry and complements the knife's versatile EDC configuration.

Whether used as an EDC knife, neck knife, outdoor knife, or compact backup knife, the Boker BFF Packlite N690 is aimed at users who want a proven stainless knife steel with good edge retention and excellent everyday usability. The combination of N690 at HRC 59, Lucas Burnley design, full-metal construction, and Kydex sheath makes this fixed-blade knife a versatile companion for everyday and outdoor use.
