As a fixed-blade skeleton knife and neck knife, this all-metal knife is designed for versatile EDC use, outdoor activities, and reliable carry as a compact backup knife.

The drop-point blade made from CPM M4 with a Rockwell hardness of HRC 63 makes the BFF Packlite particularly appealing to users who prioritize edge retention and wear resistance. CPM M4 is a powder-metallurgy tool steel known for its exceptionally high wear resistance, excellent edge retention, and strong toughness. Its significant carbon, vanadium, molybdenum, and tungsten content promotes the formation of hard carbides, helping the blade maintain a highly functional edge during demanding cutting tasks. The HRC 63 hardness further supports high cutting performance and excellent edge stability. Compared with stainless-oriented knife steels, however, its corrosion resistance is lower, so the blade should be thoroughly dried and maintained after exposure to moisture.

The open full-metal skeleton construction provides a clean, functional appearance and allows for a variety of grip positions. Jimping along the spine helps improve control during precise cutting tasks. Thanks to its compact construction, the knife can be carried as a neck knife, hanging knife, or lightweight EDC knife.
