Purity, humility, patience, endurance! Virtues that once beat in the hearts of venerable samurai — values that live on in the Boker Plus Kissaki.

Knife designer and tattoo artist Thomas Krug from M.B.F. in Bochum transfers the spirit of the Japanese warrior elite to this dynamic full-tang knife, which carries a subtle, mysterious aura. Inspired by the tip design of traditional Japanese swords, the Kissaki was developed as an everyday carry (EDC) knife with a characteristic short, fixed blade made from 440C stainless steel. Its high hardness and corrosion resistance make the blade ideal for demanding tasks both in daily life and outdoors. The Chū-Kissaki blade shape and precise dimensions allow for fine, almost surgical cuts. The stonewash finish emphasizes durability while minimizing visible wear.

The handle reflects dedication and simplicity. It features a base of ray skin imitation for texture and strength, wrapped with a muted wine-red cord (Ito) in the traditional Hineri-Maki cross pattern. This gives the Kissaki its unmistakable charm as a classic tactical knife and a loyal everyday companion — true to the samurai spirit.

For secure transport, the Boker Plus Kissaki comes with a robust Kydex sheath with a belt clip.

Excellent little blade

The unboxing experience was wonderful - the knife was packaged securely as were the included kydex sheath and belt clip.

The handle wrap is quite a few shades darker than what's pictured, but slight color variances can be expected, especially at this price point.

The blade is sharp, the point is pointy, lol. It cuts, the kydex sheath holds on to the blade until you don't want it to, and seats home with a tactile and audible thud. There is a small hole at the very tip of my sheath on the side, through which the point can be seen (it's about the size of an M3 bolt...in fact, I just checked and an M3 bolt threads into it, lol. It's too round and intentional in its placement to be anything but a drain port in case the sheath gets liquid inside.

Overall, a well designed knife and carry system for a price you really can't beat. Thanks for the addition to my collection :-) It is now in the EDC rotation.
