Minimalist design, robust full-metal construction, and a high-quality stainless powder metallurgy steel: the Boker BFF Packlite RWL-34 combines the distinctive design language of US knifemaker Lucas Burnley with a configuration focused on EDC, outdoor use, and versatile cutting tasks. As a fixed-blade skeleton knife, neck knife, and hanging knife, this all-metal knife offers functional construction and flexible carry options.

The drop-point blade made from RWL-34 with a Rockwell hardness of HRC 61 is aimed at users who value a high-performance, finely sharpenable edge with excellent edge retention. RWL-34 is a Swedish powder metallurgy stainless knife steel and is widely regarded as a modern development of the classic ATS-34 steel. Thanks to powder metallurgy, it features a particularly homogeneous microstructure with fine, evenly distributed carbides. This provides a strong foundation for edge stability and allows for a very fine cutting geometry.

RWL-34 is particularly notable for its combination of high edge retention, good toughness, and very good corrosion resistance. Chromium provides its stainless characteristics, while molybdenum and vanadium contribute to wear resistance and the formation of hard carbides. Its fine microstructure is a key advantage compared with steels containing larger carbide structures: the edge can be ground very fine and precisely without unnecessarily compromising toughness. At HRC 61, the BFF Packlite offers high hardness that supports excellent edge retention while taking advantage of the characteristic properties of powder metallurgy RWL-34.

This makes RWL-34 a particularly appealing all-around knife steel for demanding EDC applications. It offers a high-quality combination of sharpness, cutting performance, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance. For users seeking a steel suitable for both precise cutting tasks and regular everyday use, RWL-34 provides a well-balanced and capable material.

The open full-metal skeleton construction emphasizes the minimalist character of the BFF Packlite. Jimping along the spine helps improve control during precise cutting tasks. The fitted Kydex sheath with ball chain allows flexible neck or hanging carry and complements the versatile EDC configuration.

Whether used as an EDC knife, neck knife, outdoor knife, or compact backup knife, the Boker BFF Packlite RWL-34 is aimed at users who prefer a premium stainless powder metallurgy steel with a fine microstructure and excellent edge retention. The combination of RWL-34 at HRC 61, Lucas Burnley design, full-metal construction, and Kydex sheath makes this fixed-blade knife a high-performance companion for everyday and outdoor use.
