Custom knife maker Christoph Gihring of Forge Works from Freiburg im Breisgau takes a brief break from traditional Black Forest imagery — Bollenhut, cherry cake, and cuckoo clocks — and focuses on the timeless Boker Plus Sentinal.

As a fixed-blade everyday carry knife, the Sentinal impresses with its Clippoint blade made from Swedish 14C28N steel, offering excellent edge retention and corrosion resistance. The smoky stonewash finish minimizes scratches and signs of wear. The robust full-tang construction with a continuous tang ensures that tasks like cutting boxes, carving wood, or slicing rope are accomplished effortlessly.

Lightweight handle scales made of black G10 provide a secure grip even in wet or cold conditions. The textured surface enhances control, and the screwed-on scales can be easily removed for cleaning. Purists can even convert the Sentinal into a minimalist skeleton knife.

Its slim profile makes this compact backup knife ideal for outdoor adventures, hunting, camping, and hiking. For safe and convenient carry, the knife comes with a custom Kydex sheath with belt clip.
