The Legendary Blade of the 1st Special Service Force
Forged in the fires of World War II, the Boker V-42 Devil’s Brigade Dagger pays tribute to the elite 1st Special Service Force (1st SSF) - the joint American-Canadian commando unit whose courage and stealth earned them the fearsome nickname “The Black Devils.” From daring night missions in Italy and France to their decisive battlefield influence, the 1st SSF laid the foundation for modern special forces around the world.
Authentic WWII Design
True to the 1942 original, the V-42 features a double-edged 1095 carbon-steel blade with a black protective coating and a grooved thumb ramp at the ricasso for control during thrusts. A thin leather padding beneath the slightly curved guard prevents hand injury in close-combat use, while the pressed leather-disc handle ensures secure grip and comfort. The handle ends in a tapered steel striking pommel, designed for versatility in combat conditions.
Collector’s Military-Historical Ensemble
Each dagger comes complete with a deep-fitting leather sheath, the replica red spearhead insignia of the 1st SSF, and a reproduction of the original German sticker reading “Das dicke Ende kommt noch!” (“The big end is yet to come!”) - a psychological message once left behind enemy lines.
A faithful homage to the legendary Devil’s Brigade, this reproduction captures the spirit, design, and tactical ingenuity of one of the most respected fighting knives in military history.
